Now entering its second year in 2026, The Great Big Hearing Test is an annual awareness month organised by Boots Hearingcare. Its mission is to encourage people across the UK who are experiencing potential symptoms of hearing loss to take action sooner, and book a free hearing test – because there’s no better way to start the new year than with greater confidence in your hearing.

When is The Great Big Hearing Test?

The Great Big Hearing Test takes place throughout the month of January, following research that family gatherings, especially at Christmas, is a key driver for those living with hearing loss to get checked.

How to get involved

As a starting point, it’s important to know what to look out for. It’s really easy to educate yourself and your loved ones on the symptoms of hearing loss.

For any adults that think they might be experiencing issues related to their ear health they can book a free hearing test in January at a time that best suits them.
